Last week Twitter changed the way it looks when you “favourite” a post. The traditional star icon for favourites is now a heart and is now classed as a “like” in the style of rival social platform Facebook.
The social site says the change is to make Twitter easier and “more rewarding to use,” adding that “at times the star could be confusing, especially to newcomers”.
How?
Well for one thing, you might like a lot of things, but not everything can be your favourite. The heart, in contrast, is a universal symbol that resonates across languages, cultures, and time zones. The heart is expressive, enabling you to convey a range of emotions and easily connect with people. And Twitter promises that according to their tests, “we found that people loved it”.
Tap the heart and see what happens!

See you next week
