Website Redesign: As good as a holiday?

Website Redesign: As good as a holiday?

It takes less than two-tenths of a second for an online visitor to form a first impression. So it’s safe to say you’re website needs to work it’s socks off to retain visitors and nail that first impression.

If someone visiting your tired, old website makes you break out in a sweat then a re-design is something you should consider.

While our website didn’t make me break out in a cold sweat, I realised our services had slightly changed and so had our customer. So, always one to practice what I preach we redesigned the K.I.S.S website. Check it out here.

Why redesign?

As your business and customer evolves, your message and brand image needs to develop with it. A redesign doesn’t necessarily mean changing your complete website. Some sites may just need to change the imagery and content, while others might need a complete ‘do-over’.

We recommend redesigning your site very two to three years. Pay careful attention to content as well as graphic design elements, to reap optimal results.

Redesigning a website requires thought, time and yes budget, but the payoff can be tenfold.

Here are 4 more reasons to consider a site redesign:

Your website design looks old and outdated

First impressions count. Make yours count! The quality of your website is a direct reflection on your business. It must look professional, fresh and modern. Give the user a unique and pleasant experience that reflects the customer experience of your business.

Your site isn’t delivering leads or sales

Getting results is the direct result of how you attract, engage, convert, measure and optimise your website. If you don’t update your website, your business may find it difficult to keep up with the competition.

Your business focus changes

Business goals change over time and your website should support these changes. Technology gives your business the ability to shift focus easily and quickly and provides more opportunities to expand into different areas.

The purpose of your website has changed

Check your website is still aligned with your marketing goals. If you site purpose has changed, the content and layout may need to be updated to reflect these changes.

Your website is a living part of your business which should evolve as your business takes a new direction and as technology progresses. Your website should be constantly measured, enhanced and improved.
