Our Top 3 Favourite Christmas Campaigns To Inspire

Our Top 3 Favourite Christmas Campaigns To Inspire

‘Tis the season when businesses ramp up their marketing efforts to leverage the busiest trading period of the year – the festive season.

While some businesses make it on to the naughty list with their holiday “noise”, some brands are spreading the Christmas cheer and creating memorable holiday campaigns.

Check out our top 3 favourite Christmas campaigns to fuel your own holiday marketing ideas.

1. Cadbury Joy Deliveries

Chocolate maker Cadbury kicked off the festive season with their Cadbury Joy Deliveries campaign last year.

Centered around Cadbury’s four iconic Christmas and gifting products: Cadbury Advent Calendar, Cadbury Baubles, Cadbury Favourites and Cadbury Dairy, a giant Cadbury delivery truck travelled to planned events and locations, spreading joy to millions of Aussies ahead of Christmas, with a new ‘joy’ delivered every week over five weeks.

From Civic Park Newcastle that was transformed into a Christmas tree wonderland to beachside in sunny Cronulla, where locals saw 15 tonnes of sand transform into a spectacular Santa Sleigh sculpture.

2. Ferrero Rocher Golden Tree

Ferrero Rocher created a golden hazelnut tree as part of their 2014 Christmas marketing campaign.

Adopting a 360 approach, the golden tree complete with 300 Ferrero Rocher chocolates, was the hero of a broader sampling campaign.

Partnered with grocery giant, Tesco and London’s Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, the campaign was inspired by their strapline, ‘Make your moments golden’.

3. Kit Kat Christmas Break

During a time jammed with Christmas themed messages, Kit Kat decided to do something a little different. The king of “breaks” gifted TV viewers the gift of silence, complementing their ‘Have a break’ tagline perfectly.

With all the Christmas campaigns flooding our screens at this time of year, it is no surprise viewers quickly feel the festive fatigue.

In 2015, Kit Kat managed to grab the attention of viewers with half a minute of absolutely nothing. The commercial named ‘Christmas Break’, was simply a grey screen narrated with reasons for why we all need a peaceful moment.

Don’t believe us, watch it here.
