It’s no secret that we love Google. Who doesn’t? It’s smart, intuitive and knows all the answers without being a know-it-all; very classy! But like any reserved, unassuming friend, Google hides many of it’s best features. This week, we’re looking at our top 4 favourite Google hacks, accessed straight from the search bar.
In-flight mode
Make airport pick-ups a breeze and track the flight of a friend or loved one. Look up information on a flight, including the terminal and gate number by typing the airline name or code followed by a space and flight number.
Calculate anything, easy as 1-2-3
Want to add/subtract/multiply/divide, convert from miles to kilometres or solve maths problems? Just enter the expression you’d like calculated in Google’s search bar click enter and hey presto! Maths master.
Translate words in an instant
Google Translate is great for translating chunks of text. But translate single words and simple sentences easily by typing: “translate [word] into [language] into the search bar”. Genie!
Need to know someone’s age… stat?
Type in the question how old is [name] and up comes their birth date and age. Great for trivia cheats buffs!
Need a Google master? Let’s talk.
See you next week,
Darnelle
